Cynthia Pateras, wife of Konstantine Dimitri Pateras and mother of Dimitri Konstantine Pateras passed away peacefully after a long illness on 27 October 2006 in the United Kingdom. She will be missed by us all.

She leaves her family, Dimitri Konstantine Pateras, Fabienne Pateras and Loreena Pateras behind as her legacy to the family and the Pateras name.

Wife, Mother, Journalist, Philosopher she nursed her husband Konstantine Dimitri Pateras, severely injured in a racing accident at Goodwood, UK, for some 9 years before his death. A devoted wife and mother, her life was a symbol of faith and devotion to family and church. Selflessly putting her son through private schooling, in spite of the challenges she faced with the loss of Good Hope Shipping and her husband's legacy.

She will be remembered as the fiery Irish wife of Konstantine Dimitri Pateras, illuminating many a night in Athens in the late 50's and early 60's by her beauty, intelligence and humour.
